I wonder what the injury history was for Charlie Garner. Besides the big day he had (we all know what game it was) for the Eagles, it seemed like he became a lot more durable after he was traded.
"Philly fans are great....It's the only place where you pull up on the bus and you've got the grandfather, the grandmother, the kids and the grandkids - everybody flicking you off. At other stadiums, they give you the thumbs-down. Here, they give you the middle finger.”

First off, it's ridiculous to say that nobody is more or less injury prone than anyone else, and it's all luck. That's just silly. People's bodies are different, and some of them are more easily damaged than others. Sure, luck plays a factor in that single moment when an inury happens, but that doesn't change the fact that some people are more likely to be injured in such a moment than others.
From the sound of it, Westy is more or less average for an NFL RB at staying healthy. Typically they get nicked, and maybe have to sit out a game or two in a season. Guys like Tiki and Alexander should be recognized as extraordinary cases, not the norm; guys who never seem to get hurt and also have exceptional stamina that lets them carry the ball so much without wearing down (though we'll see what happens this season - don't be surprised if Tiki isn't nearly as spry late in the season). It is a fair point, however, that Westbrook generally has fewer touches per game than most of the RB's in VFK's case study. I don't expect Westbrook to ever carry the ball 320 times in a season, but he's probably up for a career high this year, and 65-75 catches to boot. We'll find out.
