the amount of similarities between the Saints/Eagles game vs. the NFC championship game vs StLouis in 2001 ( don't know if this was mentioned)

    1. Both games played in a dome
    2. Both teams we played had high powered #1 ranked offense
    3. Lito Sheppard- key corner- out for the game
Troy vincent- key corner- basically out for the game ( injured
    hamstring prior to game)
    4. 2 key costly injuries during the game- Shawn Andrews & S. Barber
2 key costly injuries during game- Damon Moore & C. Buckhalter
    5. Running game in 2nd half basically won the game for each team
    6. Huge missed blocked punt - ND Kalu
Huge missed block punt- S. Barber
    7. In both games Eagles had the ball at the end of the game ( midfield)
with a chance to win the game

Can you think of any others? Thought it was interesting!!!

It had that same feeling, didn't it. Except in 2001 the Eagles D held the Rams to a 3 and out when the game was on the line. Maybe that was part of the reason Reid punted. He trusted that they could do it again.

We got the ball back but then couldn't move it, leading the INT by Anneas Williams.

...where he committed pass interference. But yeah, a ton of 'woulda shouldas' in both games.

Also- the last offensive play for the Eagles in each game, was a pass to #84- Hank Baskett and Freddie Mitchell

            * It's not interference if you're covering Freddie Mitchell. It's called "He sucks anyway and wouldn't get open 9 times out of 10 anyway"
