Amendola to the 'fins, the deal is for two years and is worth $12 million with $8.25 million in guarantees.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

I guess that he got tired of playing for the Pats for free.

After playing under the Rams' franchise tag for the past two years, Trumaine Johnson has finally cashed in with long-term security.
The Jets are set to sign Johnson to a deal worth approximately $15 million annually, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported, via a source informed of the situation.

Ranked No. 10 on Around The NFL's Top 101 Free Agents of 2018, Johnson will end up with one of the richest contracts in this year's market.
Johnson, 28, started 62 of 85 games in six years with the Rams. His former position coach, Brian Heimerdinger, is now vice president of player personnel with the Jets.
"This is a marriage that was always going to happen," Rapoport explained on NFL Total Access. "It was just a matter of settling on the right number."
A big, physical cornerback at 6-foot-1 and over 200 pounds, Johnson figures to replace free agent Morris Claiborne as the No. 1 cover man in Todd Bowles' defense.
Although Johnson and the talented second-year safety duo of Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye form an impressive nucleus, the Jets aren't finished making over a secondary that had grown stale after dominating under Rex Ryan earlier this decade.

Muhammad Wilkerson has found his new home.
The defensive lineman is signing with the Green Bay Packers, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Wilkerson will play under a one-year deal worth $5 million, plus $3 million in incentives, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.
                    ESPN first reported the news.
Selected by the New York Jets with the No. 30 pick of the 2011 draft, Wilkerson spent his entire career in the Big Apple, but fell out of favor due to off-field issues in recent years.

Vikes sign Sheldon Richardson. That is a nice signing for them if he stays out of trouble. Even though they had the #1 D probably my #1 reason for picking the birds over the Vikes was their DL depth; just didn't think they could get to Foles as well as we could get to Keenum. This move helps that DL push up the middle. They will be formidable next year.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
                          Hope is not a strategy
                          RIP

They have gotten measurably stronger. But when all is said and done, they are still the Vikings. Their bad karma is even worse than was our Birds. It must have something to do with the way their forebears ass raped Europe for years.

GB has picked up a few FAs for the first time in quite awhile. Plus The Franchise is back. They'll be the team to beat in that division as usual.

The Vikings have gotten better. But honestly so have we.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.
