  • Measuring stick game tonight

Lakers are in town and I don't remember the last time we beat em here. Should be a very interesting test for this team.

Gonna be mostly Lakers and Kobe fans at the Wells fargo center tonight. Idiots.

they never freaking quit. True David vs Goliath matchup. The Lakers pounded the glass and the Sixers just kept battling. Fun game to watch.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

This two-week run of tough opponents is going pretty well so far: wins against Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta and the Lakers. A tough loss to the Heat.
Don't kid yourself Jimmy. If a cow ever got the chance, he'd kill you and everyone you cared about!

A customer has offered me tickets to the Orlando/Sixers game coming up tomorrow. The new arena is pretty sweet, so I may just go. Hard for me to get into basketball any more...maybe this would stir my interest back up?

            It's team basketball!

Is this like a Seinfeld episode where you have to root for Orlando?

Both teams are good so I would go see the game. It's not like you're being invited to Charlotte vs Washington.

Nah, I can root for whomever I want. I've seen a few Orlando games, but never really clicked with them. I USED to follow the Sixers, but it's been years. Hell, I even followed Barkley to Phoenix. I used to enjoy BBall..........

                    Ha! Correct.

I actually went to a game last season before I went out with my illness, I think it was Orl vs Milwaukee. My company has a box at the new Amway Center, which was really like being "royalty". Tonight I will have to suffer thru general seating, but I'll deal.

I've become so frustrated with the Eagles, I'd love to re-connect with BBall and a team that I could relate to. We shall see..........

gotta love corporate perks. I practically had box seats to Warriors games since no one liked them.

Yeah, it's usually me taking a customer to a game or an event, but this was a nice twist with a customer giving ME tix for my wife and I to use. (She gets ticked getting left out all the time.)

Going to be time to get going here, shortly. I'm excited!

Well, that didn't go so well, LOL! Just got back from the game. The Magic were much sharper with their passing and getting good open shots, ant they were destroying it for beyond the arc. Sixers were never in it.

On a non-game note, some interesting things.....first, there was someone at the game with a GOEAGLES! sign. That was surprising. Also, we ended up sitting beside a Sixers fan who was all Philly. Susi was cracking up listening to this guy bitch about the team. Every time we'd miss a shot....which was often...he's saying YOU SUCK! YOU'RE DEAD TO ME! Etc, etc....very entertaining. We had agreat time, but would have been better if the 6ers were at least competitve.

That call last night was absurd. The refs took a win away from us.
