Hey Florida ... I represent Chip ... send me a letter and we'll give it the proper treatment.

This concerns me. He could get a 10 year 100 million dollar contract.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

For what it's worth, Chip was quoted as saying that he likes the NFL schedule better. He used to hate getting on a plane to go recruit right after games.

Tell ya what....I'll put on a Gator Jersey and get over there for when he arrives......I'll make sure that Chipster has no interest in coming to Fla.

Pros and cons to both. I like college football wayyyy more than the NFL because of the tradition. But I could see why a coach would want to stay in NFL especially when you are doing as good as chip has and you have some say in who you have on team.

If he leaves, he deserves all the crap he'll get as that would be bush league to the max IMO...and good luck trying to get back into the NFL after that stunt

Totally agree with you ... but someone will always be willing to give him another shot (especially considering his success in the NFL to date).

Pete Carroll came back to the NFL, so there is at least one precedent.

True, he would probably get another chance in the NFL...I just hope it does not happen this soon. I do have concerns about Kelly staying longer than 5 years however as my sense is he gets impatient if things are not progressing and will move on.

He won't go anywhere. If it comes down to money I think Jeff will step up and pay him. He knows we're on the right track and if this team wins a SB the SB Champion merchandise sales alone would be enough to pay Chip's contract. Add in what that would do to the value of the team itself and there's no way Jeff let's him leave.

Big difference. Carroll lost his way out of the NFL with the Jets and Patriots and nobody wanted him and he returned to college. Chip my be one of the most sought after coaches at any level in the country.

Anything is possible but I think Kelly even considering a move to Florida is VERY unlikely.

That said, the news is raising the hopes of countless NY, Dallas and Washington fans, with many Cowboys and Giants supporters reporting their first spontaneous, non-Viagra induced erection in years.

Washington fans are so deeply depressed by RG3's blatant failure that an erection, under any circumstances, is simply out of the question.

Once you make the varsity, you don't volunteer to return to the JVs. Sometimes you realize tat you can't cut it (Sabin, Kippan, Spurred etc.) and you return to your comfort zone. Chip is a football junkie who wants to conquer the Pros. I doubt that he would even consider Gdell's job for $40 million. He's a coach. Period.

Exactly. I don't think he's motivated by money. He spends his free time watching other teams training camps and practices.
