    Nodak,

The irony is that going back 20 years or so I use to build desk tops from the bare case on up for myself and for friends. Didn't do any programing, just assembling hardware components and installing the necessary software. I do manage to get the video streams of Birds' games that aren't broadcast in our area on line and before that I was getting the audio only of Merrill and Mike doing the Birds games that weren't available on the tube locally.

I suppose if I wasn't so seriously demented (my dear wife's appraisal) I might have figured out that I could stream local Philly radio stations on my own. So thanks to all for the helpful heads up to this geriatric old fart.

Here I am pictured with my latest high tech acquisition.

One complaint with this beauty...audio only porn seems somehow to be lacking something. I'm thinking about asking the widow lady who lives next door if she'd like to join me in acting out the audio parts. She seems willing but it would probably be best to do that on Wednesdays and Thursdays when Gail' is busy at church running her volunteer program.

I can relate AW. I’ve been an Eagles fan since about age 6 or 7. That’s 38 years. Why did I choose the Eagles? Well my older brother was a Cowboys fan and my mom taught me that they were evil, just like the Yankees. My mom is a HUGE baseball fan. Growing up in Alberta, she listened to ball games on short wave radio and the team that they could get was the Brooklyn Dodgers so you can understand her contempt of the pinstripes. She kept score of every game she ever listed to and has books of the handwritten scorekeeping of thousands of games from the 1950s- present including every World Series game. So anyway, I couldn’t cheer for my brothers team and also had to pick a team that wasn’t the NFL version of the Yankees. Well why not go with the team in green (my favourite colour) with a QB named Ron (my name) and a young pationate head coach. After the Eagles won the 1980 NFCCG, I was hooked. They were MY team.
Here in the great white north everyone has a favourite team but most are front running Patriots or Cowboys fans. These “Patriots” fans have no idea who John Hahhah, Irving Fryar, or Steve Grogan are. Cowboys “fans” are the worst. I’m sure you can imagine.
      Canada's #1 Eagles fan.

          rspurr,

Your mom 'sounds' like a really neat lady. In my experience, people that are a bit unconventional and pursue interests that appeal to them, irrespective of what others may think, are by far the most interesting to get to know.

Yes, but the CFL is painful to watch. Only 9 teams and every team runs the same offense.
It’s not the same game as when Moon, Flutie, and Garcia played.

Sunday’s East Final between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts presents many intriguing storylines, including the battle between two veteran quarterbacks.

For the first time since the 2012, Kevin Glenn and Ricky Ray will square off in a winner-take-all game with one QB still searching for a championship, while the other is looking to add his fourth to the trophy case.

This season, both quarterbacks have shown that age is just a number leading their teams to within a win of the Grey Cup at the age of 38.

Henry Burris proved it last season when he became the oldest player to win it all at the age of 41. He moved past Damon Allen, who led the Argos to the 2004 Grey Cup.

              Tale of the Tape

This will only be the third time that Glenn and Ray will meet in the playoffs.

The first meeting between both quarterbacks was in the East Division Semi-Final back in 2008 when Ray and the Edmonton Eskimos crossed over to beat Glenn and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 29-21.

In the second matchup at the 2012 Grey Cup, Ray led the Argos to a 35-22 victory over Glenn and the Calgary Stampeders.

Glenn is still looking for his first championship after losing his only appearance to Ray and the Argos five years ago.

He had another opportunity to reach the Grey Cup back in 2007 after beating the Argos in the East Final. However, he suffered a broken arm trying to recover a fumble forcing him to miss the game which Winnipeg would end up losing to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Ray can reach his fifth Grey Cup final with a chance to capture his fourth title to put him in the same company as Allen, Ron Lancaster, and Dave Dickenson.

Glenn and the Roughriders won both games against Toronto by a combined score of 65-51 this season.

The teams squared off at the new Mosaic Stadium in Saskatchewan back in July and were tied going into the second half. Glenn would put on a clinic in the fourth quarter as the Riders scored 18 points to pull away with the 38-27 win.

In the rematch at BMO Field, it was a close game that came down to a late field goal by kicker Tyler Crapigna. The Riders completed a second-half comeback and won 27-24 after Glenn was benched for Brandon Bridge.

Glenn would finish with 369 yards and four touchdowns, while Bridge had 292 yards and two touchdowns in the Saskatchewan victories.

The Argos defence will prepare for both quarterbacks to play in this game should Glenn struggle out of the gate, but the Riders know who will be under centre for Toronto. They also know it will not be an easy matchup for them.

Despite losing both starts against Saskatchewan, Ray threw for a combined 727 yards and five touchdowns, but had a costly interception in the second meeting to spark the Riders comeback.

              By the Numbers

Ray ranks seventh all-time in career playoff passing yards with 3,466. He needs 101 yards to pass Henry Burris on the list.

Glenn now ranks 10th all-time in career playoff passing yards with 2,970 and needs 113 yards to pass Russ Jackson (3,082).

In that East Final between Ray and Glenn, Ray completed 27 of 37 passes for 303 yards, and no touchdowns while Glenn completed 15 of 34 passes for 233 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

In the 2012 Grey Cup, Ray went 18-for-30 for 231 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while Glenn went 14-for-27 for 222 yards, no touchdowns and throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown.

Both QBs have played each other 18 times in the regular season, Ray holds a slight edge at 9-8-1, when both start and complete the game.

              2017 Season Stats

Ray: 17 GS; 5,546 yards; 28 TDs; 11 INT; 8.3 average yards per pass; eight carries for 52 yards and no TDs.

Glenn: 17 GS; 4,038 yards; 25 TDs; 14 INT; 8.6 average yards per pass; 21 carries for 75 yards and two TDs.

Today I listened like I normally do and they were asking for predictions and Cowboy hate. I rarely call in but I have before particularly when it’s Eskin cause I like Eskin.

I called in today and about 20 seconds into the call macnow calls me out for not being a real fan and says I should be a Chiefs fan and hangs up on me. I couldn’t believe it honestly.

It was a douche move and I gotta tell you I was shocked.

I’ll put my Birds chops up against any native and I just wanted to put it out there.

                I feel better now guys.
Should have ripped him back for being from Buffalo.
