[QUOTE=musicman;289562]I'm kinda leaning towards Marshall , he is the only back besides the oft injured Mathews with any real strength.

You're reading my mind MM. He might be to fragile to play in the NFL.

Not that it means a lot(pun intended), but here is G Cobb's guess on the roster. Both Smith and Means in. Also Smallwood as I am predicting:

This is G Cobbs guess on the final roster.

Quarterbacks (3): Sam Bradford, Chase Daniel, Carson Wentz

      No surprises here.

Running Back (4): Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles, Kenjon Barner, Wendell Smallwood

No shockers here either. Disappointing that the team didn’t get much of a look at Smallwood during August.

Wide Receiver (5): Dorial Green-Beckham, Jordan Matthews, Paul Turner, Josh Huff, Nelson Agholor

Turner has shown more than enough to make this roster. It’s a crime if he doesn’t make it at this point.

Tight End (3): Brent Celek, Zach Ertz, Trey Burton

I think there’s a chance Chris Pantale makes it as the fullback, but I think the team cuts him and tries to go with Burton as the fullback in order to free up an extra roster spot to keep an extra defensive player.

Offensive Line (9): Lane Johnson, Jason Peters, Alan Barbre, Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks, Isaac Seumalo, Stefan Wisniewski, Matt Tobin, Halapoulivaati Vaitai

The NFL needs to resolve the Lane Johnson situation one way or the other by this weekend. It’s completely ridiculous that this has been drawn out as long as it has. Suspend the guy or don’t. But don’t leave it in limbo while the franchise is making important roster decisions.

Defensive Ends (6): Vinny Curry, Connor Barwin, Brandon Graham, Marcus Smith, Steven Means, Bryan Braman

Smith and Means have both played their way onto the team.

Defensive Tackle (4): Fletcher Cox, Bennie Logan, Beau Allen, Aziz Shittu

I wasn’t sure that Beau Allen was a lock to make it before camp began, but he’s a lock at this point. Shittu is one of the longshots that I think makes it. The team has been trying to trade Taylor Hart, and Shittu has made enough plays in the preseason that he might earn the last spot.

Linebacker (6): Jordan Hicks, Mychal Kendricks, Nigel Bradham, Najee Goode, Stephen Tulloch, Quintin Guase

Guase earned the final spot on the depth chart with some nice moments on special teams.

Cornerbacks (6): Leodis McKelvin, Nolan Carroll, Ron Brooks, Eric Rowe, C.J. Smith, Jalen Mills

If there’s a guy here that gets cut, I think it could be Mills, who started out strong but tailed off as the preseason went on. I think the Eagles may try to get Mills to the practice squad if they want to go heavy elsewhere. Smith has been the best of the bubble corners, while the team has too high a pick invested in Rowe, and will give him another year to develop despite his frustrating play.

Safeties (4): Malcolm Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, Jaylen Watkins, Chris Maragos

Ed Reynolds finished August strong, but too little too late to beat out Watkins for the final spot.

Specialists (3): Caleb Sturgis, Donnie Jones, John Dorenbos

I'd say that is pretty close. If the Eagles want to keep Marshall and Pantale they could safely put them on the PC. It's funny how our PC only keeps a couple of guys that went through camp and then brings in people from other teams. With let's make a deal Howie I wouldn't be surprised if all 10 come from other teams and it's constantly churned throughout the season. Whatever this roster is on Tuesday won't be what it is on the 11th.

I think Smith would clear and get to the practice squad. I could see them doing that in order to keep someone they want
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy

I think Smith showed well last night, IMO he is a good athlete. He's another of Chip's Fuckups, but I think he can be a very good piece on this defense. Means however has played really well. Don't know what they're thinking, but I think they will lose either way they decide to go.

Sorry I was talking about CJ Smith clearing and being available for the PS. I don't think Marcus Smith is eligible due to years of service.

I think the PS rule was changed to 3 year last year but I'm not sure. Marcus' strength was the outside rush in college. The knock was that he had no technique but the Birds thought that they could teach him that. He was part of an outstanding defense at Louisville and could get away with it in college.

Means looks like a quicker Graham. He looks just as strong as Graham
