Best LB

I was watching I, Max the other day. I don't know if ayone else here watches it but they interviewed Derrick Brooks. He said that he feels he is better than Ray Lewis. I don't think so. I think that Ray Lewis is easily the best LB in the NFL, argueably the best of all-time but that is another discussion altogether. If I were to rank the best LB in the NFL, I would put them like this:

1. Ray Lewis
2. Brian Urlacher
3. LaVar Arrington
4. Derrick Brooks
5. Julian Peterson

Brooks is a fool if he honestly believes he is better than Ray Lewis. My top five would probably look like yours, but Brooks below Peterson. Look out for either Joey Porter or Kendrell Bell to have a good year now that Dick Lebeau is here.

I think I would probably even say Shawn Barber is better than Brooks, especially if you're building a team because he must be at least 5 years younger.

I wouldn't go that far. Barber is good but Brooks is above him. Brooks has the experience to put him above Barber. Sure, if you were building a team for the future you could take Barber only because he has the potential to be better than Brooks in the future but right now I would take Brooks. Brooks is also a good leader.

Let's see how Brooks does without Warren Sapp taking on double-teams all game. His coverage skills are good, but I doubt he can put up as many sacks or tackles now.

I wouldn't put too much into that observation. A lot of people consider Booger McFarland to be better than Warren Sapp. But only the defense might suffer a little. If anything I would put Brooks down for more tackles because Sapp is gone and so is Lynch.
