I'm saying that these players are looking to try hitting the market again next year in FA when there is more money available to spend. We ae not going to be able to get these guys on cheap, short term leases again. IOW, this is a one time deal.

Why do you think the Eagles wanted multi-year deals? But they are taking the deals they can get for these guys for a one time run.

Going forward, no, we're not gonne be hurt within the cap. But we are not going to have these same players availabe as starters and depth. We must rely on the drafting over the last couple of years panning out. As long as these young guys progress well, then "we're fine there". But you will never see them bring in this many FA's to fill significant roles ever again.

The primary one-year guy is Jenkins (we presumably get a healthy Graham next year, and the Eagles could decide to keep Jenkins, technically). Otherwise the one-year guys are your backup QB (Kafka likely ready by next year if not this one), your backup running back (can find those), possibly the RT (we'll see how he and Justice do), and maybe that safety (we have two high draft picks there). I just don't see a big dropoff, other than maybe having to trade Samuel.

Might also mention the fact that our 3 biggest FA signings are 30 or older. Again, out of the norm.
