    Play of the day

Following up on a play on which Lito Sheppard broke up a pass to rookie receiver Hank Baskett, he came up with an interception.

Donovan McNabb's pass hit off the hands of Baskett and Sheppard grabbed it, returning it for a touchdown.

    Catch of the day

Darnerian McCants beat double coverage to pull in an end zone pass from Jeff Garcia. McCants was flanked by Sean Considine and Rod Hood, who both went for the ball, outjumping them and coming up with the catch for a 50-yard touchdown.

    Hit of the day

It doesn't look like Jeff Garcia can catch a break.

Although quarterbacks are supposed to be off limits for contact, no one is paying that much mind when it comes to Garcia.

A day after he received attention for being pummeled by linebacker Jeremiah Trotter in practice, he again was knocked down by the Ax Man during morning practice.

Afterward, Trotter stomped back to the defense, where he high-fived a few teammates.

    Quote of the day

"We call it depth chart madness. It's crazy... . You've got that in your ear, that old song ]Put me in coach.' That's the whole day, man," special teams coach John Harbaugh on selecting a roster for his unit.

On Trotter.....he must still think Garcia is playing for someone else. Old habits die hard. LOL!

You know, I think they should take a guy like Trot, and just sit his ass. What does he need to be out there for, endangering himself and others? Sit his but, save the mileage, and cut his azz loose on Houston.
