    * You know it's so sexy to love the running QB. But its suicide. Many of us EAGLES fans miss the sleaker McNabb who juked defenders like AI so many times. However, he found out he needs to stay healthy...

...Vick is marvelous. I hate to say it but I am addicted to watching him play. However, if he keeps running that much - he'll be in a boot cast year after year...thoughts?

Agreed...he needs to rely more on his recievers than just his feet. McNabb also needs to get his scrambling confidence back. He has looked a little timid after his injury when it came to taking off.

I also agree, if Vick keeps playing the same style his career won't last too long. McNabb I think will be a little quicker to run this season. Remember last season he had a huge welt on his leg thigh for most of the year, I can imagine that makes it pretty painful to run.

True, the welt probably immobilized him a little. But when you give the defense that thought that he can take off and reel in a 20 yard scramble they will put a spy on him if not two and put that extra D-linemen out there. Then with an extra two people watchin McNabb, that just leaves room for Owens or Mitchell in their routes or Westbrook in the flat. A scrambling QB is so much of an offensive threat and opens up so much.

Oh I'm not saying that I dislike when McNabb scrambles. You're absolutely right that if he does it once or twice a game it changes the whole defense. I was just offering a possible explanation on why he was so hesitant to take off last season.
