If you want to make the argument we should have never went into that area I will listen to that argument.

IMO we should get out of that entire region that has been at constant war for 3000 years.

We should sell arms to the Israelis and the Saudis because the Israelis are our strongest allies and the Saudis practice a flavor of Islam that is the flavor we prefer and the Saudis are in Iran's crosshairs just like we are.

I get the whole leaving the Kurds at the alter thing but the reports I read say the Russians are flowing into that vacuum we are leaving behind.

The Russians and the Chinese need this region now more than we do so yeah I don't know how you keep innocent people from getting killed but at what point do we stop spending trillions of dollars to nation build?
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

THIS>>>>>>>> "IMO we should get out of that entire region that has been at constant war for 3000 years."

Didn't learn our lesson from Vietnam. And don't listen to the f'ing generals--- they are warriorws they want war... as do the Congressmen and Senators that are beholding to the great military complex that they profit from.

Get the fuck out and stay the hell out. No need for any more Americans to die---- for what, for who???????????????????

Maybe chucklehead (the great negotiator or man with unmatched wisdom) should have done something between the time he first said he was pulling out to the time he actually did pull out but he didn't and let Turkey crap on him but that is beside the point.
I wholeheartedly agree we shouldn't be there but people that yipped about Obama leaving Iraq at a NEGOTIATED time should shut the F up because this boy did far worse.
Personally, I am all about leaving that area (like the Russians had to do in the 80s) but please don't tell me about the Saudis and Israelis because we were great friends with Iran until we weren't. It is nothing but fickle F'n politicians and none of those countries care about us when push comes to shove.
The US wants to be involved in or start every war for the last 100 years. We can't stand another country having a dictator or being communist or being socialist or whatever. We want everyone to be like us and then when they want to come here we want to act surprised. Personally we need to stay out of wars and let any country have whatever frickin government they get. And anyone who does anything to us gets blown to absolute crap without regard for them or their heritage or their culture or their whatever.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy

Probably live on until someone can provide info other than TDS but it will probably be just crickets again. How about how great a general Mad Dog Mattis was when nominated but is the most overrated general now. Or how about I am going to nominate the best people, the smartest people when I am elected yet has had the most turnover of any president with most leaving under a cloud. How about declaring ISIS dead or North Korea agrees to denuc or any one of a number of declarations that really just aren't true. The latest-- great day for civilization but maybe, just maybe Turkey didn't really agree to all he says the agree to.
As always, I don't necessarily disagree with the any of the policies I disagree with the chucklehead and the way the chucklehead operates.

Well he did promise...for whatever that's worth... to bring home a couple hundred guys who very reluctantly left their Kurdish comrades in arms in Northern Syria to the whims of those three most honorable heads of state...Assad; Erdogan; and Putin. And to show how deadly serious he is about holding to his promise to keep Americans from becoming involved in wars in the Mid East, he's only sending 3,000 troops to defend the Saudis. Of course, he claims "the Saudis will pay us" for those troops. I'm sure that will come as great comfort to the parents and wives of any men killed that their loved ones died as mercenaries fighting for the same contry that gave us 9-11.
And continuing to resort to the Bumper Sticker label of TDS applied to anyone who criticizes Trump is old and lame...but very predictable, given the source.

Action slowed down a little this week so maybe that's a good sign.

Ummm, are all our troops coming home or are we moving some to Iraq and sending new ones to eastern Syria to prolong our involvement in this war?
