    • Having some hip problems and can't manage extreme activities for too long. So I guess it's my own fault that the inactivity has been prolonged. Thank goodness for beer or I would have no stress relief.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

Speaking of stress relief.....my resting heart rate has been in the 110-115 range, and my doc gave me a scrip for Zanax to help with that. I split the pills in half and they still make me just want to go to bed. Yesterday I gave myself my own prescription. I drank a half a bottle of Sam Adams. (HEAVENLY!) Went right to my head. I've been alcohol-less for over a month. My wine-chiller is stocked full, and simply laughs at me. Let me get well and I promise to do PLENTY of stress relief!!!

            • How you feeling these days fresh? Numbness gone away?

              • I appreciate you asking today Nodak. Truthfully, I have been dealing with so much pain weakness and fatigue over the last two months that I have pretty much just stopped reporting. Got down under 160 lbs, and I am fading. Hopefully something breaks soon, but it hasn't been good. I'm trying to hold on. Love you all.

                      • I am happy to report that my breathing is starting to improve again. Panting like a rabbit all of the time was getting old. It would seem that the blood clots in my lungs must be resolving. Thank GOD. I swear I think I was almost in my casket.

I go to see a new urologist today to try to take another apporach to my other issues, but at least one thing seems to be headied in the right direction.

                            • I don't know why I share this stuff with you guys but...... guess the horse is already out of the barn, huh?(And you guys seem to continue to care....thanks for that)

Urologist has referred me to a colon/rectal surgeon. If anyone remembers the prolapse I had years ago from impaction(constipation resulting form chemo/radiation, etc). Guess I pushed my prostate out my arse back at the time. Anyway, he thinks that I have structural damage down there that is causing my pain and problems that I am experiencing now. I'm not going to get graphic.....but there is a good reason why I am barely hanging onto 158 lbs these days.

So I will meet with him next Wednesday afternoon, and see what comes of that. I'm guessing surgery. Thursday is my next CT scan to check on my cancer status. Til then, living on Ensures and stool sofeners, and trying to resist the pain meds. At least the blood thinners have me breathing better, and my energy level back up some. But..... I could really use a win over the Cowpies on Sunday to make everything more bearable!

                              • Ct scan today showed my tumors to still be stable, and showed the blood clots in my lungs to be resolving. Great news!

Tomorrow I will be having a colonoscopy to check out my other issues. Yippee! Big deal, really....small potatoes. Just hope they can figure out what is causing all of my pain. Feels like I have a Cowboys helmet jammed up their...........hope I didn't do something drastic during that awful friggin game.
