figured since they're such an intelligeble and well-loved group, they should get their own thread.

    week 1

our buddy hoge leads the way at 10-6
theisman was 9-6 but you can put that at 9-7 because you KNOW he had the skins over the vikings (as did everyone except schlerth and golic)

bringing up the rear are marcus allen and chris mortenson at 7-9

tidbit - the only 2 games that had consesus correct picks were the chargers and eagles games.
Five straight losses, including a crucial one at Dallas on Christmas Day, send them out against Atlanta, needing the win, plus help. -Dr. Z, 8/31/06

I like how Theisman isn't allowed to pick a winner in a game he's broadcasting. Like it matters AT ALL. He's a complete joke w/ zero objectivity, yet ESPN thinks they're salvaging some sort of professionalism by having him abstain from making a pick.

News flash to ESPN: NO ONE CARES WHAT JOEY THINKS. HE'S A BLOWHARD ASSHOLE.

So the best was 10-6 and the rest were worse. How are these guys experts?!

Just to compare. The sportscolumn pick em contest with 46 participants:

Leader was 14-2 , 12 were better than 10-6 and 24 (more than half) were at 10-6 or better.

I just keep reading over and over ESPN's NFC East prediction where they have us finishing last and also our toughest stretch includes playing Baltimore twice.

And... they talk about the Redskins high octane offense.

To be fair, on Monday the Redskins' offense looked like it was high and had been drinking octane. So they were half right...

The definition of insanity is to continually repeat the same action and expect different results.

Thus the Redskins and their fans are, by definition, insane.

Actually, I think this is a personal decision by Theisman and doesn't come from ESPN at all.
