  • NL East

This year is all about money in the free agent market. The Marlins are the biggest spenders this offseason in the division. With the adding of Carlos Delgado and Al Leiter this team should have a decent pitching staff and and allstar lineup. Between Mike Lowell and Delgado there is a lot of pop in the middle of the lineup. At the top with Juan Pierre and Castillo they both have speed and are great contact hitters. This team is also not half bad in the field. They are decent and should not commit to many errors. With Dontrell Willis and Al Leiter headlining in the pitching staff, this team should not have to play the ball in the field a lot anyway. The Nationals will be adjusting to there new city, the Mets and Phillies havent really been that active with free agents so far, and the Braves have beefed up their pitching staff with the aquisition of Tim Hudson and also by moving John Smoltz back to the starting line. The loss of Jaret Wright and Russ Ortiz should not hurt the Braves too much. Although they could use a decent closer to end those tough games after losing Antonio Alfonseca and Jonh Smoltz. They always find a way to win the East no matter what. The Braves should win it with the Marlins, Phillies, Mets and Nationals all falling in line respectively.
What? Thats crazy! If you think my ideas and opinions are, just let me know.

    What???

The Mets spent 3-fold what the Marlins spent on one player alone!
