I think it amounts to trading Mathews for Blount. I like that trade.

He had talent and I hate to lose that--- but talent isn't of much value when you are on the bench with injury so much of the time.

The Old Saying is True: "You can't help the Club when you're in the Tub" but hey, saving $4 mil in Cap Space is a nice Bonus.
Just give me ONE before I go!

            Bill Parcells said it first

Was that before or after (as Cowboy's HC) he said...

"Sean's going to have a few . . . no disrespect to the Orientals, but what we call `Jap plays.' OK? Surprise things," Parcells said.

He paused for a moment before saying, "No disrespect to anyone."

My wife tells me the the term "Asians" should now be used instead of "orientals". So I suppose "gooks" and "slopes"...terms that were popular when I was in Vietnam...are out as well. ( Sorry! The Devil made me write that!)

Mathews was really a big, talented guy and I liked the fact that enjoyed punishing tacklers when finishing a play rather than running OB like a pussy. But that was also probably part of his downfall.

Speaking of 'the tub', can anyone confirm whether or not Jeff Fisher really said to this guy before he cut him...

"You can't make the club when you're getting butt fucked in the tub"?

The damn Devil again! This is 'Non PC Monday' right?

Jimmy Kempski with the best line after cutting Mathews, The Eagles started the off-season with 12.5 million under the cap, They signed Jeffrey, Smith, Graham, Long, Warmack, Blount, Wiznewski, Robinson, Foles and McGloin and well they have 12.5 million under the cap as of today. I do believe they have a more talented roster now than they did at the start of the season.

In other words there is always a way around the cap.
Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

Oh snap! They cut Jordan? (j/k)

Indeed, the worst-kept secret. Would've been damn good if he could stay healthy. The greatest ability is availability, right?
