  • R.I.P. Jim Bunning..

One of the all time greats passed away at age 85 today after suffering a stroke back in October. I still remember the Perfect Game he threw on Father's Day in 1964, when I was 10. All around Great Family Man & American Citizen from his years in the U.S Senate.
    He will be missed, RIP.
Just give me ONE before I go!

I remember coming into the living room around the 4th inning or so and my brother who had just returned from the Marines was on the sofa watching. I sat down on the floor and watched with him. Late in the game he was explaining how impressive a perfect game was and as the game went on he was more and more into it. My parents, who were out, came in 5 or 10 minutes after the game. One of those childhood memories that will never leave.
RIP to a guy who gave me a great memory
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
    Hope is not a strategy
    RIP

You always knew Jim was "on" when he fell off the mound after a pitch. That was his trademark.

      RIP .. Jim.
