MIAMI, Fl. -- One of the men who once owned the Philadelphia Eagles, has helped sack the mayor of Miami.
Mayor Carlos Alvarez overwhelmingly lost a special recall election yesterday with 88% voting to oust him.
Ex-Eagles owner, and billionaire auto tycoon, Norman Braman was behind the recall effort.
He made good on a promise he made to remove the mayor after the mayor helped pass a budget that raised property taxes as much as 14% for some homeowners.
Braman was born in Chester County. He owned the Eagles from 1985 to 1994.
