  • Special Teams Could Be Special

All this young blood we signed to the roster makes for good competition, but I see a ton of talent for returning kicks and speed for coverage. We kinda sucked without Sproles and Clement last season. I really think there was an effort placed on changing that. If the defense toughens up and the offense moves the ball better, we could be spending more time on the + side field. If in fact we have a season.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

We had more action around here in the winter than we do now. I think the reality of a fall w/o football has really hit hard. The riots have taken their toll too.
