I think that they've got real talent, plenty of pieces to still have a tough team. Things are a mess, but they've got some pieces to work with here. If Reid and Co. can throw the bad pages out of their playbook and use this roster better, they can be...ok, easily good enough to be as good as Dallas, New York, or Washington at least.
So what pieces do you start with?
QB - Ok, no worries at that position.
RB - put Tapeh in front of Westbrook or Moats, get behind Shawn Andrews, and just pancake that side of the line. Maybe get LJ or Schobel blocking on that side too. Dust off the shovel pass to Westbrook.
Passing game in general - less vertical game. Until we can prove that we're the New England Patriots, we need to run the ball more. Sorry Reggie Brown, but your league-leading 19.3 ypc average may have to drop in favor of a possession-type offense.
DL - get Bunkley some more reps. Maybe spell Trotter with one of the younger LB's too (heard bad things about Trot from the NO and Jax games).
Gotta go, might have more later. Thoughts?
Yeah, this is no time to drink the kool aid, but it's cool that we've got a WR who leads the NFL in ypc, and his first name is Reggie, not Terrell.
