      SPECIAL TEAMS

      K- Chris Boniol
During his three seasons in Dallas, Boniol was the most accurate kicker in the league. In his two seasons with the Eagles, he was next to last. Against the Cowboys, he made just 7 of his 11 attempts in three games against his former team, prompting fans to call him a double-agent too.

He actually made Strieker's list Vin lol.

Let's give love to the imbecile Norm Johnson. He's the moron that screwed up a 20 yard fg as the half ended because he couldn't find his helmet.

Wally Henry, but that’s only for his two costly fumbles in the 1981 wild card game against the Giants.

Ron Jaworski used to get booed as much as Mike Schmidt, maybe more, but I’m really glad that’s in the past now.

I strongly disliked Marion Campbell as a head coach.

You chased him to the other side of the field!

Did anyone mention Mamula? Was reading an article on the Seahawks and ran into this: “They drafted wideout D.K. Metcalf based entirely on his jacked frame and eye-popping 40 time. In terms of technique, Metcalf runs routes like the starship from Galaga. He’s wideout Mamula waiting to happen.”

                    I laughed and cried.

I forgot about Hershel. I LOVE Hershel. If you haven't seen the SEC Network's documentary on him growing up in Georgia that is a must see. He is a damn fine human being. I wouldn't even consider him a Cowboy because he barely played for them. I mean guys like Miles Austin and DeMarco Murray. Hate those guys.

Herschel Walker is DA MAN! My Herschel Walker story....
I grew up not far from Univ of GA, and as you are probably aware, college football in the South is almost as important as sex or religion. I was 11 when UGA won the national championship riding Herschel.
Fast forward to 1992 (I think it was 92, anyway, when he came to the Eagles). I was the front office manager of the hotel where Herschel stayed when he first got to town. I saw his name on that day's reservations list, and waited around the front desk so I could check him in myself. Now, normally, hotel staff are always instructed to not gush over celebrities, ask for autographs, etc..but this was f**kin HERSCHEL WALKER!! I mean, I had his poster in my room as a kid.
So he arrives, I do a little fan boy talking to him ("I grew up watching you play at UGA, you were my idol, blah blah blah"), and he could not have been any nicer. Thanks me, and goes off on his merry way.
I was off the next day, but when I returned to work, there was a package waiting for me.
I open it up, and its a UGA jersey, number 34!! I was over the moon!! Later that day when he comes in, he heads over to the front desk and asks me if I got my package. I stammer my thanks and how much I appreciate it, etc etc. He just says "You know 2 good ol boys from Georgia gotta take care of each other here in the big city. Glad you liked it".
Every time he saw me after that, he would shout my name across the lobby, big waves, just went out of his way to be a nice guy. He wasnt there long (guess he found a permanent base in Philly), but to meet one of my idols and have him treat me like an old friend was simply amazing.

I'm not surprised Dawk. I got to meet Hershel too in the hospitality room in the Vet after an Eagles game. If I didn't know who he was I would have thought that he was the team's chaplin. I never met a more humble guy.
