We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

When I was in college we all bought Pauli Girl and thought that it was great beer. I'm sure we just bought it for the label though and talked ourselves into thinking that it was the best beer on earth!

Sofie isn't quite St. Pauli Girl (well, she might be, but we can't tell without a picture), but she is a damn fine beer. Crisp, citrousy farmer's ale (saison). These beers started out as very light in alcohol, to be drunk by farmers in Belgium and France while they worked the fields. The modern versions tend to be between 6.5 - 8% ABV and often very tasty.

Are you old enough to remember "You hoo Mabel-Black Label " the Carling Black Label beer commercial girl? Very similar to the St. Pauli Girl.
