Mar. 26 - The Cardinals have emerged as the favorite to land disgruntled Bills' running back Travis Henry, the East Valley Tribune reports. Henry said this week it is the Bills who are holding up a straight-up swap between Henry and Cardinals tackle L.J. Shelton. Henry insisted he will never play for Buffalo again, which has taken any leverage the Bills might have had in trade talks.
Mar. 25 - Defensive end Courtney Brown was expected to announce his decision on Thursday, but continues weigh offers from the Redskins, Broncos, Jaguars and Seahawks. The Seattle Times is reporting that Brown is leaning toward the Broncos.

"There's a lot of competition for him," Redskins coach Joe Gibbs told The Washington Post on Tuesday. "We're not confident we're going to get him, but we want him."

Brown completed a visit to Seattle on Tuesday and was in Jacksonville on Monday. He previously had met with the Redskins and Broncos before widening his search, reportedly after being disappointed in those teams' incentive-laden offers.

Apr. 1 - Cornerback Patrick Surtain and the Chiefs have agreed in principle to a multiyear deal, reports The South Florida Sun-Sentinel, but a trade still must be worked out with the Dolphins before Surtain can switch teams.

The Chiefs reportedly are offering a fourth-round draft choice, but the Dolphins are believed to be demanding a selection in the first three rounds.

Chiefs absolutely need a decent CB. Any thoughts on the kind of money Surtain will get?

I remember last year, I think everyone overpaid for cbs and other secondary players.

Oakland is still desperate to unload cornerback Charles Woodson, who's due to make more than $10 million this season, and, sources tell The Post, the club is willing to take less than the two No. 1 picks required to sign a franchise player. "At this point, we'd probably take a one and a five or a seven," one front-office member said. "We're hoping to get something done before camp."
