  • Eagles shopping Andrews??!! WTF??

    http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/...shawn-andrews/

If this turns out to be true, this is one of the weirdest things this team has ever done. Maybe it's Sheldon Brown floating false info. out there, I hope.
Stand for the flag you assholes!

      as a rumor?

can't imagine who they would be targeting at 5 if true. Curry?

that's a whopper of a deal to even be rumored.

Three guys come to mind because they've talked with them.

Jason Smith, Eugene Monroe and Michael Crabtree. Crabtree gets out of the mix because of Edwards, so they go OL, or in a wild fit of man love, they get Orakapo from Texas

That sounds like a horrible deal to me. I damn well hope it's not true.

I dont see anybody in the Top 10 that the Eagles really need to make a move for that would justify this kind of whopping deal. They've got two tackles now. This deal would bring in Edwards, so no Crabtree.

I can't imagine they would make this kind of deal so they could move up and grab BJ Raji.

Curry's the only one who makes sense, IMO. but he's not going to be there at 5.

Raji has drug rumors around him so he's off the block.

Curry isn't getting past the Chiefs.

I really don't think this trade happens, but if it does they go OL almost 100%. They can move Stacy inside to OG, and use Monroe or Smith at RT.

WTF? They finally finished rebuilding the oline and have done so in a way that gives them one of - if not THE best lines in football. Why would they suddenly tear it apart before they even get a chance to see them together even in practice? Makes no sense at all... has to be agent speak or just some more rumors.

This would absolutley befuddle me. Why go get Andrews brother in the first place? Yes, I think he is a decent player, but I thought the added benefit of having him here for his brother was the topper. Be funny as hell if they made the move not realizing that these two brothers really don't like each other (I made a joke about that at the time), or that they did not anticipate that The Big Kid would get bent out of shape about his contract and that they now have a headache they need to rid themselves of. That would be among the greatest trainwrecks in Eagle's management history!

This sounds like a great time to start another mock draft thread.

What are the odds that his head still isn't straight and as teh third highest paid player, you don't want a head case complaining about salary?

Makes no sense we would be trading him at his absolute low, I wouldn't be surprised if he is worth no more than a 4th round pick. If you are another team would you want to take on a head case who is coming off a back injury

Stacy is a very good RT and was not brought in primarily to be a babysitter IMV...he was probably the top RT FA on the market. They have Cole/MJG who can play OG and Stacy can also play OG or RT.

This is a very interesting rumor...Shawn may be injured more than known or may have convinced the Eagles he could miss more time with the depression.

If positioned at #5, the Eagles would have maximum ability to either move up and grab an elite guy like Smith or Monroe or Curry since multiple teams have made it clear they would like to move down or move down themselves, get another good pick and have their choice of TE, RB, CB, DE in a slot better than #21.

I like Boldin more than Edwards, but if AZ will not budge on its high price (I still do not think they want to trade him) than Edwards is the best WR available and could help us. Losing Brown would be dissapointing, but maybe we bring in FA Lucas or McCallister as a stop-gap until Hanson takes over or JackI is ready or we pick a CB high this year.

Crazy trade and probably merely a rumor, but who knows?
