        Yeah, it's a contradiction where I don't know who is telling the truth, and who is lying. Banner (weasel) did go on and on about "oh gee, I wish Brian and his agent had gotten back to us, we may have matched the offer, we may not have, but I expected them to give us a last look...." - I figure this to be pure horseshit. But if it's not, then Andy is a lying ass. My bias pushes me towards thinking Banner is just living up to his nickname here.

            Well, I believe Andy when he says they knew and didn't match because it was an unbelieveable offer. I don't believe Banner but agree he was trying to spin it. It is ALWAYS a bad idea to try to spin something if others can track down the correct info.
            I also agree Andy & Co do a good job with many things and have an outstanding rep around the league. But I can't say I have ever heard anyone give plaudits to them for their play calls.
            Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
