  • Anyone Else See Anything Regarding Eagles/Bills Talking RB Marshawn Lynch?

This is the only thing I have seen regarding a rumor that the Eagles contacted the Bills regarding the availability of Marshawn Lynch:

This would be a nice move. Reuniting him with DJax might reinvigorate him, and we desperately need help at RB.

I have mixed feelings about it. Lynch was a stud-in-the -making in 2007 & 2008. He had some off the field issue (which I can't remember) and was suspended for a few games last year. He fumbles a lot, and I mean a LOT! But he was also a serious threat in his first couple of seasons so the potential is there. If the Eagles can get him to be productive again he could be a nice piece to add to the game.

At the same time I think we have enough issues that need to be addressed right now without adding another one. Depending on how serious McCoy's injury is, now may not be the best time to make this move.

I really wish the dopes sitting at Novaplex would pry Logan Mankins away from the Pats...not like we need an oline or anything

I thought the same thing a while ago, but I 'd hoped that it would have been done sooner.

Oh my god I know. Of course, we've gone after top-notch free veteran o-linemen before and the results haven't been great.

              Kevin Mawae-Logan Mankins-Marshawn Lynch

              couldn't hurt

Is Mike McGlynn the king of looking at the play on the big screen while it is happening, or what?

What would AR's response be in the following situation?

Asked at his press conference about the possible benefit to the Oline of adding a player like Mankins, AR replied:
1 - "We could really use a player of Logan's ability."
                2 - "We''ll be fine there."
3 - "No disrespect for any Orientals in the room, but isn't Mankins a Jap?."
4 - "Aren't you the guy that was supposed to bring my post-lunch buffet?"

I don't think it's that easy. It's going to take a lot to pry him away plus I don't think the Pats are really wanting to trade him anyway. Talk is that he will be back for the final six games. You might get him in the OS but I think the Pats are sticking to their guns and making an example out of him.

Lynch has some prior issues, but I can't imagine living in the lifestyle of California ,then moving to a City where you are teabagging lastnights snowfall from Sept-March.Talk about depression,he might be thrilled to get out of there.Next question is if you want to throw a bunch of picks away if you don't have a signal caller capable of getting you anywhere. If the ship is going down or if you have a rational chance of going somewhere.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

The Eagles always feel they are still in contention. Or at least in contention enough to fill the stadium.

I wouldn't mind Lynch one bit. He is young and hasn't taken a lot of hits. Add him to the AR Home for Wayward Boys.

Why trade a 4th, when you can turn it into Bryan Smith

Smith was a third, baby! The 4th was what we gave up to dump Chris Clemons on the Hawks.
