  • Herschel Walker wants to come back .... at 49!!!!

I really thought this was a joke.. but he's in such great shape he just might be able to do it! Honestly I think I'd bring him to camp and see what he can really do. As a 3rd down back he'll get limited use and just might be able to survive for most of the season. I can't believe I'm even considering it, but really there's nothing to lose by bringing him in for a look.

Holy jeez, he'd break George Blanda's record. Hell, he'd be the oldest RB ever to play in the NFL by a mile...........

Mad props to Hershel for keeping himself in the finest condition imaginable for a man his age. And I am sure his strength is good, and his straight line speed still might be pretty good. but no way is he going to have the suddennes and agility needed to be an NFL RB at his age. There's simply no way.

Yah right.....I can imagine Herschel returning kickoffs, but other than that? 49 just seems too old, especially if he has to do a lot of special teams. He should see how he does in the UFL and go from there. The NFL HoF has a page on its over-40 club, it's almost all kickers, QB's, and a couple of pass defenders in there for good measure.

The oldest RB's that I could find who got game action were Lorenzo Neal and Marcus Allen, who were still playing around age 38. Neal even signed with the Raiders for another season after that, but ended up IR'd and then released. The oldest player ever to score a touchdown was Doug Flutie at 42.

              He's still in it.

But let's face it the real money is not in MMA. As big as the Lesnar name is he would make more in 30 minutes of Wrestlemania than he would in two years worth of MMA fights.

Lesnar makes serious bank, but that's only at the very top of MMA. He probably get's 2-4 million per fight and that doesn't include endorsements and branding.

I hope he gets a shot. What an awesome inspriration he would be to us older guys (I am 49).

Medical science is pretty amazing these days. I take a newer organic testosterone supplement that has returned my levels to those of a 30 year old. These are not anabolic steriods. Instead, they just return what you have lost over the years.

Plus, since my GF is 20 years younger and athletic, I need that extra testosterone to keep up with her

The treatment is called SottoPelle. They give it to both men and women. A girlfriend of mine was taking it and raved about the results. She said that it works for men too.

                          http://www.sottopellelife.com/index-1.html

I was tested and my testosterone was at 50% of a man's peak levels. The process is not cheap. For me, it is $700 every 5 months.

Unlike testosterone injections, which are are needed constantly and are short lived (and erratic), SottoPelle consist of small tablets that are inserted into the hip. The doctor makes a very small incision (about 1/4") and then inserts tablets under the layer of fat in your behind. Since the tablets are time-released, they last about 5 months peak with consistant results.

I do end up with a very large bruise for 1 week after the injections. And, you cannot partake in sports for that first week (the pellets could come out the insertion point). So, there are a few negatives with the way the pellets are inserted. Men need far more pellets than women. So, it is harder on men with more bruising.

With that being said, the effects are terrific. I am more cut when working out with weights. I don't have the chronic fatigue that I had suffered at work. And, you will definately get a boost with your sex life.

I don't plan on stopping this any time soon, because the benefits outweigh the minor "surgery" that you have to go thru every 5 months. The surgery itself is just an office procedure. The doctor will numb you up, make the small incision and then insert the pellets. The entire process takes about 5 minutes. no stitches are necessary. The incision is held together by strong plastic tape for the 1st week.

                          Hope that helps.

Vin, if you get these injections you might move towards the $700 end of the scale! Think of all the extra moneys that will bring in!

I'd rather take the $700 and pay some kid to do my shoveling. I don't know if my back is going to make through this winter.
