The worst part about this is that the Skins can actually win the division. I was laughing at Rex Grossman so hard in the preseason.

So, even as an eternal optimist, what does getting into the playoffs get us? Unless the old adage of "defense wins championships" is completely wrong these days.

I still think this team could come together. We do have a good DL (at least once Cole is back) and excellent corners. Maybe Allen progresses as he continues to heal and Jarrett earns some playing time. I think we finally have the right LB's on the field, so altho not great, passable. If - and it's a big if - we can stay reasonably healthy and get Peters and Cole back, you never know. Green Bay wasn't all that in the first part of last year. It's a long season.

I don't have the energy to go find it (and I don't hate myself that much), but I remember posting a thread about how the Eagles #2 were arguably better than the Skins starting 22. Wow.

Dawk, I'm with ya....Too early to give up hope already, for me anyway. Beat the Skins, and like you said, a good chance we're only a game behind in the win column. Can't worry about what we need to finish in the last 11 games...just beat the Skins and get to the bye, and hopefully regroup. A lot of ankles are busting right now jumpin off the bandwagon, which I understand, very frustrating. But I'm hangin in there with Dawk!!! GO BIRDS!!!
