It would appear that he is "preserving" himself in anticipation of negotiating a new deal. Who knows but him, though?

Listened to the game on the radio. The commentators kept saying how the Bears used a two-TE formation to block, so that it was 7 blockers on 4 D-linemen. This negated any advantage gained from the wide-nine. Why the Eagles never blitzed a CB or LB at all is a mystery. Shoulda sent a few blitzes and rattled Cutler.
