And now the joke is really on me because I always thought it meant to go screw yourself. You learn something new everyday I guess!

Ya know Popper, I'm not sure what the term means/meant in US culture. If you do a Google search you find a variety of meanings, not all sexual in nature. I always thought it carried a vague dismissive sense of 'Fuck you!' or 'Fuck off!'

In this British series (and I think we can therefore assume in British teen culture anyway) the term usually refers to homosexual acts of an oral or anal nature.
