Philly sports radio that is....

Listened to it this morning and caught 5 minutes of Angelo talking about being an actor and about Tony Luke being an actor... really fucking weird. All I know is that there was no sports talk and I hate Angelo's voice.

Man, I used to be a WIP junkie and I feel like I keep going back to sample it everytime I'm in philly but it turns out to be drano.

Seriously, I try it every so often hoping that it will change, even though I know in my head it won't.

I listened this weekend going to and from the Phils game on Sunday and it sucked, maybe even worse, than it always does, and I still get saddened by that!

I don't know what it's like in other cities as I don't care to listen to them but I got to beleive it is somewhat better.

Seriously, I try it every so often hoping that it will change, even though I know in my head it won't.

I listened this weekend going to and from the Phils game on Sunday and it sucked, maybe even worse, than it always does, and I still get saddened by that!

I don't know what it's like in other cities as I don't care to listen to them but I got to beleive it is somewhat better.

I spend 3 months each winter in the Tampa-Clearwater area. The AM Sports Radio Station there...620 WDAE...has some good and some bad. Ron Diaz and Ian Beckles (who had a stint with the Birds) are entertaining, iconoclastic, and pretty objective when it comes to serious sports discusions. They love to break balls on the residents of on small inland town, where they claim inbreeding has been raised to an art form and where they insist Ringling Brothers gets 90% of it's Side Show talent.

On the other hand, Steve Duemig, who calls himself "The Big Dog", would be more aptly named "The Big Pile Of Dog Shit". He is a loud-mouthed, arrogant, uninformed douche bag who could write a book on being a total homer asshole. He grew up in Philly and was, by his own admission, a big fan of Philly teams. However, on moving to Tamap, he "switched allegiances" and now gets off dissing Philadelphia teams. Now what kind of a lame asshole turns his back on the teams he grew up pulling for. Only a weak, knob artist who is trying to suck up to the listening audience. I'm serioulsy considering have his face printed on my toilet paper.

As for the local sports radio here in upstste NY, where I live most of the year. it's primarily the nationally syndicated sludge we're all exposed to. The local guys, who are on mostly in the evening, are unlistenable. In our area, the backwoods males are refered to as "Woodchucks" and incest is their favored family entertainment during those long, snow-bound winters. It is widely assumed that most of the local sports guys are the products of "Woodchuck Love'" gone very, very bad.
