The drama seems to grow by the day in Dallas. One day after Dez Bryant and Joseph Randle got into an argument in practice, coach Jason Garrett decided to address the situation by holding a team meeting.
According to ESPN.com, the meeting was 'tense' and Garrett is beginning to wonder if keeping Randle on the roster might have a negative effect on the team's chemistry going forward.
The argument between Randle and Bryant had something to do with a remark Randle made while he was being booked into jail on Oct. 13. The complete video from Randle's jail booking was released earlier this week.
In the video, Randle mentioned the past legal problems of both Bryant and Josh Brent, something that infuriated both players, according to ESPN.com.
During the booking video, you can hear Randle make several comments, including one about Bryant, "Dez didn't miss no games for slapping his mama," Randle said in the video.
Bryant was charged with misdemeanor assault in 2012, a charge that was later dropped.
In regards to Brent, Randle had this to say during his booking, "Josh Brent, he's still up in the locker room," Randle said. "He was driving drunk. That's stupid."
Brent was found guilty of intoxication manslaughter after causing a December 2012 car crash that killed teammate Jerry Brown. Brent, who's been out of football for almost two years, signed a one-year contract extension with the Cowboys on Saturday. Brent will be eligible to play in his first game later this month.
As for Randle, he was docked one game check worth $29,500 for his arrest. A source told ESPN that Randle is 'staying for right now,' but obviously that could change if DeMarco Murray's backup continues to cause a divide in the Cowboys locker room.
Besides the Randle-Bryant-Brent drama, the Cowboys are also dealing with daily questions about Tony Romo's health. It was revealed on Saturday that Romo has two fractures in the transverse process in his back. Romo is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Arizona.
