What about my team? Look at my depth at running back and wide receiver.

So what if I don't have a backup QB, TE, or Defense?

Does anyone in this league want to join the Central Division too? It's not a conflict as there is no trading between divisions.

nyc_eagle is the odds on favorite this year with BP in 2nd. here's why...

            nyc_eagle (nyc_eagle)
QB – Carson Palmer, CIN (5) - I have him as the #2 or 3 QB in the league this year. Should put up a big points. Getting him in the 4th round is excellent value.

QB – Kurt Warner, ARI (9) - I don't like him at all as a back up - or starter for that matter! He has be injured and missed significant time for each of the last 6 years. As a back up it's a roll of the dice as to whether he'll be there when you need him. Bad pick , but he's the back up so who cares.

RB – Tiki Barber, NYG (4) - Top 5-6 back should do well again this year. If Eli improves he could be even more effective with fewer carries.

RB – LaMont Jordan, OAK (3) - I'm on the fence here. I liked him two weeks ago but the more I look at the Raiders the more I'm convinced they're going to be one of the worst NFL teams in recent memory. I avoided ALL Oakland players this year simply because they look like they are going to be terrible on both sides of the ball.

RB – Dominic Rhodes, IND (6) - I drafted Joseph Adai because I am convinced he's going to be the starter by week 5. I think Rhodes will be a quality back up and may get enough touches in the first half of the season to warrant drafting him, but he's a guy who's production will continue to go down and the season goes on. As a #3 back he's a good player for depth for the first half of the season but be prepared to dump him for a more productive back late in the season.

WR – Anquan Boldin, ARI (9) - Should put up excellent numbers again this season.

WR – Joe Horn, NO (7) - I think Brees will have a good season and that means Horn should do well also. As the #2 WR in the 5th round he's a steal.

WR – Derrick Mason, BAL (7) - I love the fact that McNair is throwing to him again. Having a legitimate QB is going to help the Ravens a lot this year and Mason should see a serious improvement in his production. As your #3 receiver this is clearly your best position and Mason gives you excellent depth!

WR – Javon Walker, DEN (4) - I love this pick!!! I think Walker will return to his pre-injury form and having Rod Smith on the other side will take the pressure off of him. If he returns to his 2004 level you are going to have some real problems determining which WR to start each week. With my doubts about Jordan as the #2 RB this is a great position for you to work a trade to improve the RB corps if needed.

WR – Braylon Edwards, CLE (6) - Not a great player but he should see some time early in the season. If he can hold the starting role he's a quality player. As the #5 WR, it's a good gamble.

TE – Heath Miller, PIT (4) - I took him in m keeper league last year with high ho[pes and wasn't disappointed. He got off to a slow start last year, but with a year of experience under his belt he should be a solid player right out of the gate this year. I don't expect him to lead the league, but he's a good player on an obviously excellent team.

TE – Randy McMichael, MIA (8 - Could turn out to be a better player than Miller, but right now I'd consider him your #2 with good potential to surprise.

K – Jay Feely, NYG (4) - Coming off of a great yer last year I expect his numbers to be down some this year - simply because I think the Giants offense will be improved which means fewer FGs. Regardless, a good pick.

K – Jeff Wilkins, STL (7) - I think the Rams will be pretty solid on offense too so Grandpa Wilkins probably won't put up league leading numbers either. Clearly not the top player but as a back up he's fine.

DEF – Carolina Panthers (9) - I have them rated #4 behind only Chicago, Baltimore & Pitt. They should be a superb team but there's always something about these guys that leaves open the possiblity of a collapse. They SHOULD be a very good defense this year ... but keep an eye on the waiver wire down the road!

Overall nyc I think you have an excellent team with some nice depth (other than QB - Warner has to go!!).

            The Defending Champs (Big Philly)
QB – Peyton Manning, IND (6) - Needs no comment. the #1 QB fior a reason. BP you better send Lief a case of his favorite beverage for passing on the top rated QB to roll the dice with James. (Sorry dawg I just have my questions about that O line and how it's going to effect his numbers... but that's another commentary altogether!!)

QB – Brett Favre, GB (6) - He's God with an AARP card. As a back up he's fine. Behind Manning he's uncessary. You could have a chimp here and not be any better or worse. Next player....

RB – Willis McGahee, BUF (8 - I like him as a #2 not as a #1. The Bills are coming off of a 5-11 season and had one of the worst drafts in memory (and neither Ray Rhodes nor Rich Kotite were involved!!) Even with Evans healthy I just don't see this team being good enough to make McGahee the #1 on your team. It might turn out fine, but I'm guessing he wears down as the season goes on as teams stack the line and challenge Holcomb to beat them deep. Losman may be labeled as the starter right now, but he won't be when the games start. All of this means that McGahee will have to carry more of the load than he should which means he struggles later in the year.

RB – Reggie Bush, NO (7) - Great potential player. Tough player to pick in the 4th round. He's the polar opposite of McGahee though, sharing time with Duece will hurt his early season numbers but I expect him to gain more and more PT as the season goes on which means his value improves down the stretch. If MaGahee can put up real #1 numbers for you early and Bush picks it up later in the year you should be fine at RB especially with Lewis in there for depth.

RB – Jamal Lewis, BAL (7) - Should be a good #2 this year and a good value in the 5th round. Like I said you need MaGahee to get it down early for your RBs to be solid. Lewis is a great depth player for you if MaGahee/ Bush pan out. If not you lack a true #1.

RB – Chris Brown, TEN (7) - I struggled with him last year and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I have even more questions about him this year since he has to share time with both Henry and Lendale White.

RB – Cedric Benson, CHI (7) - He might be a good value for you since the Bears should have a good season and looking to run down the clock in a lot of their games. Injuries are the only question here but certainly a good player to have for garbage yards.

WR – Randy Moss, OAK (3) - Man this is a tough call. Like I said for nyc, the more I look at the Raiders the more I want to avoid them! But then again it's Moss. The guy is a stud if they can get the ball to him. As bad as this offense looks to be this year I worry that he's going to milk some bullshit injury. I don't know BP. he might be the best receiver in the game or the biggest bust in the draft this year.

WR – Andre Johnson, HOU (5) - I like him as your #2 WR. I expect Carr to improve which should help AJ's production and if we see the return of that crappy Houston D they'll be behind and throwing often!

WR – Michael Clayton, TB (4) - Should put up good numbers this year with a much improved Chris Simms. From what I've seen Simms is a lot more poised and confident and Clayton should produce because of him. As an 8th round pick he could pay huge dividends!

WR – Laverneus Coles, NYJ (9) - Clearly the Jets QB situation is the key here. Coles is a great player but the circus behind center last year was enough to drive an actuary to drink. if Pedington can stay healthy and Ramsey stays off the field the Jets could suck less this year!! Coles should be your #3 but looking at the Jets offense, it's still a crap shoot.

WR – Lee Evans, BUF (8 - Like I said about McGahee, this team scares me. The were one ofthe worst offenses in the league last year and their draft was horrendous this year. Evans might be fine, and as a player for depth I like him. If you had to move him into a starting role I'd be worried.

TE – Kellen Winslow, CLE (6) - An unproven player with a proven injury history. The upside to this guy is huge if he can live up to his billing. Another gamble here bu IMO a much better chance of success than some of the other ones.

K – Mike Vanderjagt, DAL (3) - He's a cowboy so I hate him by default! Overall he should get a lot of chances and I think Parcells will look to him often. A solid option ...if you don't mind having a stinking Cowboy on your team!!

DEF – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4) - I didn't have them rated too high, but they always seem to put up some good numbers as a team D.

Biggie you took a lot of risks IMO, but if even half of them pay off you could be the man to beat in the league this year. I think nyc has more of a "sure thing" but you have vast possibilities if a few players step up - mostly McGahee.

Amen to that! See you take the high upside guys (I had Larry Johnson last year) and hold onto them and watch the waiver wire like a hawk - and you win it like I did last year...Good analysis...

                Thanks for the analysis, Juk.

In defense of Warner, I'm looking at him as a short term solution for Palmer if Carson can't go week 1. Bengals have a week 5 bye. I just need old Kurt to survive for 5 weeks at the absolute worst. I did goof this pick because Eli was on the board still. I let emotions get in the way.

I agonized over Jordan. Believe me, I didn't want a Raider. But I think he'll be productive. Last year in 14 games he gained over 1500 yards from scrimmage and scored 11 TDs. Can the Raiders be worse than last year? I dunno. It was between him and Westy. I hope to regret this pick for that reason only.

My favorite pick was Mason. The guy went for 1000 yards with Kyle Friggin' Boller throwing to him!
