        I'd only trade Bradford for a #1 and a conditional 4.

Yeah, you're right. I've been drinking a lot all day with a friend of mine who keeps trying to convince me that he's the GM of the Minnesota Vikings.

This deal was too good to pass up. Also, the salary cap relief gives them the chance to lock up Bennie Logan. It's a HUGE win.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

Not just Bennie they could be active in free agency again next year. They are 11 mill or so under the cap this year. They are only projected at a million under next year but that does not include the 11 million rollover. Plus Jason Peters is due 11,200 so they could save another 9 million by letting go of their then 35 year old left tackle. Now he may come back but it won't be at that salary.

So they went from being over the cap for 2017 and having to cut Peters to get under to being in a positive cap situation and not having to make the Peters move although they will.

I love Benny. I sure hope it happens but they just have too many offensive holes to fill to think that it will.

Eagles might get a few million more back if Johnson is suspended for PED usage. Apparently being suspended for PEDs means that 1) you lose all future guaranteed money, so his big guaranteed $$$ might be lost, 2) obviously he doesn't get his salary for the 10 games which is credited to the current year (very small base salary this year so that will be small), and 3) I've read that teams are *required* to claw back prorated signing bonus for PED-suspended games -- and if it's 10 games that will be over 3 million for Johnson, which gets credited to the team's cap the next year (so 2017).

Nice info FO! I'm now wondering if we want him suspended or not.

                          Let me help you, Popper.

                          No.

We do not want him suspended. That would be strike two, and put him one step closer to being out of the league altogether. As much as he probably deserves it, lets hope that they let him off.
