Sources: Dallas favored to host 2018 draft



Dallas has emerged as a favorite to host the 2018 NFL draft at the Cowboys' new training facility in Frisco, Texas, league sources told Field Yates of ESPN on Wednesday.

Philadelphia is also in contention, while Kansas City and Green Bay are considered long shots. An official decision on the 2018 draft site is not expected to be made until after this year's draft.

But Dallas is pushing to host the draft and has the infrastructure to get it done at The Star -- the Cowboys' new training facility.

The draft never has been held in Texas. A move there would represent yet another venue for the event after a run from 1965 to 2014 in which the draft was held annually in New York City.

Isn't getting Super Bowls enough NFL crap for that city? It's not like they don't get any exposure. Give it to another city up north who can't get one and still plays football the old fashioned way-OUTSIDE!!
