  • Pump the brakes

It's great that we're 9-1 and destroyed the Cowboys but we really haven't accomplished anything yet. HFA would be ideal but we need that first round bye and both the Saints and Vikings are right on our tail. We don't want to have to play the Cowboys in the 6-3 divisional game and they have all their players back.

I think this week might be the most challenging in terms of getting the team to focus on the next opponent and not look ahead to the road trip out west. The Bears are playing well lately. We can't afford to take them lightly.

The way I look at it, we have 9 wins. That's it. 9-7 is still just as possible as much as 15-1 or 14-2.

At least we can get the division sewed up with a win or two. I don't even mind not having a bye if everybody is healthy. It's easier to get on a roll that way. The thought of playing NO or Atlanta in their domes doesn't appeal to me at all seeing as though we're much better off than I dreamed this summer. I knew that we had a good team but with so many moving parts I never thought that we would get off to such a good start. Washington folding like a tent really porked us last Sunday.

I really want the Chargers to bury the Cowboys and the Steelers to do the same to the Packers. I don't want to see either of those teams make the playoffs.

My brakes are permanently pumped until we finally win a SB. Until then, I will probably always hope for the best, but expect the worst.

My 2 biggest worries are Jeffrey's ankles and Brooks flipping out for the playoffs. He's been an absolute beast this year.

I’m not worried about them overlooking the Bears simply because Alshon will be in the faces all game lng. He wants to stick it to hos old team very badly and punching them in the mouth in front of their home fans is ideal. He will make sure everybody is with him this week.

Me too. That first half was a painful reminder of how quickly it can all fall apart. In that first half, I was thinking what Skip Bayless said, which was the Cowboys would be beating us handily if they had Smith, Elliott, and Lee. And then when Wentz was going into the tent, I thought we were done. The Cowboys were going to win, and come back and win the division in week 17. Then they were going to win the Super Bowl. Those were the thoughts crossing my mind.
When the second half started, I was just hoping for a 17-16 win.
I've never seen a team play their worst half of football followed up by their best. It was crazy.

Until we have HFA wrapped up in the NFC and Wentz is healthy along with most of the other key players (Oline and Dline especially), I will expect the worst.

I ain’t pumpin shit- every team is beatable and we have the best defense in the NFL. Every QB- Brees, Wilson, Goff, Keenum- is shitting in their pants that they have to play our defensive line.

You guys can be timid if it makes you feel better.

When Wentz got slammed I wondered if he would get up-then i saw the replay. Ugh. Then he ran into the tent-shit. It all turned out OK-impossible for the Eagles but true!

We have won the division -- that is something. But yes, now we go for the bye and then home field. That isn't anywhere close to locked up and may be a dogfight. Other teams play each other a few times though so a couple will fall back some.

This is a trap game coming but agreed that Alshon won't be looking past them. Eagles are at home though so it will be our fans. Last home game for a while because after that is seattle rams and Giants on the road. That may help with the trap game aspect too.

would rather face the Saints and Vikes at home and outdoors in January

Seriously, as Philly fans we have earned the right to expect the bubble to burst. Having said that every single Eagles fan should relax and soak in every ounce of joy and exuberance this team is providing. Waiting for the other shoe to drop or only giving half your heart to this season will cause you to miss out n some amazing happiness. None of us expected this. Absolutely no one! Soak it up. Breathe it in. Relish every down of every game. We have earned this joy through many fallen tears. Don’t go half in and give up the excitement and satisfaction that this team is offerng you!!
