  • Fire everybody!

I'm not even gonna discriminate any more. This whole team deserves to be shit canned.

The only way they fire Reid is if he has another season like this next year. I don't see any way Lurie would ever fire him.....even if he loses every game the rest of the way

THere are no excuses this year. We had PLENTY last season, but not this time.

Everybody deserves blame right now, the coaches, McNabb, Westy, Trotter, Dawkins, EVERYBODY. No one is immune. You talk about team wins, well this is a team loss. And whats worse is, I think this is a team LOST.

this team could lose to any team now IMHO

the MO is out there. If you dont' have a great offense...just run the hell out of the ball and play decent defense and you have a good shot at winning

we could easily lose the next 8 games and end the year at 4-12

the sad thing is that there seems to be enough talent to make the playoffs, I just don't see JJ and that D getting it together enough to make that happen. Losing Kears obviously hurt worse than any of us thought. Skins and Titans can easily beat us running the ball when we get back from the bye

Here's the problem. I think this team looked at last season't 6-10 record and said, that was an abberation. They had exuses for why we did so poorly, and just expected to be a better team this year. I thinkthey were expecting to moonwalk their way back to the payoffs this season. That's why there is no aparent preparation, focus or discipline. And now that they have tanked the first half of the season away with the tougher stretch coming up, they finally realize they are screwed. Now the self doubt will be firmly implanted for the rest of the year.

This is a mentally weak team.

I'm afraid that you might be right about that. Because they appear to have a lot of talent.

Right now Swing, I'm wondering if they misjudged some of that talent.

But I agree, this is a mentally weak team, and their opponents smell blood in the water.

As for the rest of the year, whatever.......the games against the NFC East don't scare me so much. It's not knowing whether or not the Eagles will show up that'll be the biggest problem in those games, whether they're on the road or not.

                The schedule:
                Washington
                Tennessee
                @ Indy
                Carolina
                @ Washington
                @ Giants
                @ Dallas
                Atlanta

While I understand the contention that the team may be mentally weak, I do not wholly agree with that assessment. I DO think that the team/FO may have overestimated its talent level somewhat, and I DO think that McNabb is expected to carry the whole offense in too many instances. Maybe the years are starting to show on Trot and Dawk as well.

I think you are right on Trot and Dawk. They've been mostly invisible of late, and they are supposed to be our defensive leaders, our catalyst. USED to be true. Maybe it's a scheme problem, but these guys are not making an impact. The best players on our D, the potential difference makers if you will, appear to be Cole and Sheppard. I will also give a nod to, and this comes with great surprise, Considine. This kid might actually end up being alright.

Considine had favorable scouting repoorts out of college, with the exception of timed speed.

The FO must use this upcoming offseason to identify and groom Trot's and Dawk's successors IMO. I am not sure how much longer they both will battle on. I don't consider them to be the main reason for what is happening presently, just making an observation that Father Time might be gaining on them.

Would not consider firing Reid. Been an Eagles fan too long and seen too many non-Super Bowl Eagles coaches to write him off now.

                            Good idea!
The Eagles took off a week early and
did not tell Andy before the game.
Heck, Lurie could fire them all but we'd lose a lot of talent.

I agree with the "mentally weak" sentiment but would
have to call them "soft" as well because I did not see
many Eagles actually trying to hit this week. If they did
bring the wood, they often missed. It's going to be a
tough couple of weeks for fans before playing the 'Skins.
