What'd you think MD? I know it's required viewing for all Philadelphians, but is it actually worth seeing, or just more of the same old tired story?

I hope it is worth seeing, seeing as we are going this afternoon. Movie, dinner and drinks are scheduled so we need to get off to a good and Rocky start. :P

I heard it's the best one they did since the first one.

But besides the original, my favorite was #3

I was excellent!, IMO.

Best one in a long time, maybe takes second place only behind the original. Some people liked the ending, I am one of those ones that would have preferred it ended a bit different, but it very very good.

I've always felt that IV got 'short shrift'. It was made at a time when we still had a strong dislike for the Soviets, and Drago was easy to dislike. Plus, the training scenes were the best in the entire series!

I plan to see the new one sometime this week as I enjoy my week off. I've heard lots of good reviews, and I look forward to seeing it.

my favorite is still Rocky III cause it was so cartoonish.

V was absolutely awful.

I liked them all except for 5, and 6 is, IMHO, as good as 2, 3 and 4.

V doesn't even belong as part of the series. What a disaster. After the original, hard for me to call it between 3 and 4. # was fun, with Hogan and Mr T, certainly entertaining. But 4 was more dramatic. Didn't Stallone actualy get hospitalized making 4 getting hit by Dolph in the making?

Bottom line, if I flip to 1, 3 or 4 by accident, I always end up watching them thru. They stand up. I am hoping this latest and LAST install is as good.

Just got back from the movie, dinner and dancing. Great day and absolutely great movie. I'll be honest we went from tears to stomping screaming fanatics. I was ready to jump in the ring myself. Second only to the original, Clubber et al be damned. I wondered if an almost 60 year old ex action hero could summon up one last hurrah. Damn if Stallone doesn't reach up and grab ya. We old farts have found a new hero.
