Former Texans general manager Charlie Casserly also interviewed with the Giants, but is considered a long shot.

The Iggles should call the Gnat's owner and offer to pay Cassely's salary. That would give us Gibbs' and Casserly's bone headed personnel decisons in our conference. Not to mention how well Jerry did with TO.

The ONLY good thing Parcells ever did in the GM role for any of his teams was the draft swindle that gave the Jets 4 first round picks in 2000, 3 of whom became great players (Pennington, Abraham, and Shaun Ellis). But then he also wrote ludicrous deals for Testeverde, Curtis Martin, Mo Lewis, and Marvin Jones that put the team in cap hell through most of Herm Edwards' time there.

3 years in Big D with miracle quarterbacks and stud FA wide-outs etc. has softened me to being knee-jerk scared of Parcells in our division. I don't think we'll ever see another team under him turn into the '86-'91 Giants, least of all of he's simply buying groceries with Mara's credit card and not agressively coaching the team from the sidelines.

he did help us out though by trading us Hugh Douglas for a 2nd & 5th round draft pick!!
