  • BG Calling it Quits

Will always be a favorite Eagle for me .
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

Love BG and will miss watching him play. He played his best game (of maybe his career) vs the Rams before his injury.
My daughter went to the game in Seattle last year and was able to get him to sign my black 55 jersey before the game. When she facetimed me from the stadium we were both in tears.
    Canada's #1 Eagles fan.

There you go spur. Top notch story and memento.
The guy with the toughest start to his career wound up with one of the best Eagle career. I know I bitched when they moved up for him and bypassed the safety Thomas. And then bitched when he didn’t produce because of injury. I was way wrong and try to use his example whenever I look at a player.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
      Hope is not a strategy
      RIP

What a way to go out. BG is an all-time Eagle. Not a Hall of Famer in Canton by any means but he was Philly through and through. Took it on the chin early in his career but fought his ass off to improve and recover from injuries and retires with 2 Super Bowl rings and the key to the city. Guy won't have to buy a meal here for the rest of his life.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

I think we sometimes take for granted how lucky we've been to have Kelce, Cox, BG, and Lane Johnson play their entire careers as Eagles. All great players, champions and guys that are very easy to root for. This is very rare in pro sports and almost unheard of in today's NFL.

Especially when most fans wanted both BG and Kelsey Gone! The first couple of years of his career and Kelsey after he had one questionable year. Fortunately Doug Peterson just laughed the Kelce controversy off as ridiculous.

I am guilty of thinking both BG and Kelce were just guys a few years into it. That's why I watch on TV.

I was at his rookie training camp and got him to sign my football. Great memory.
