I heard this on the local radio yesterday. Division 3 or not, being 59 years old and making any team is good. Apparently he got tossed out of the football program when he actually went to school there for continulally getting in fights. He managed to retain 1 year of eligibility somehow that apparently doesn't expire. He played LB back in the day and those who know him say he is in superb shape and not just for his age. I haven't heard what position he will play. I'm sure a small school like this will milk this for all the extra attendance and pub they can get, heck I may go to the game against Texas Lutheran just to see it. Since the game is in Texas why not. If he plays substantial time they'll probably make a movie of it someday.

59-year-old makes Sul Ross roster
Mike Flynt, a former Sul Ross football player, has made the Lobos roster again, at the age of 59.
Flynt would be the oldest player to play in a college football game, it’s believed, if he appears in a contest. The Lobos open their schedule Sept. 1 with a non-conference game at ASC foe Texas Lutheran.
A longtime strength and conditioning coach at Nebraska, Oregon and Texas A&M, Flynt has enrolled in graduate school at Sul Ross in order to use his final year of eligibility, according to the Associated Press.
