Anyway you do the the math it's 10,000 and not a great milestone.

Just curious, what are some of the other teams totals? Anybody close?

In one of the articles in last weeks inquirer they said the next team I can't remember if they were 300 some loses behind or 3,000 though. Maybe I'll feel a bit more industrious in the morning and I'll go look back in the philly.com archive or even look through the recycle pile.

The Atlanta/Milwaukee Braves are 300 behind. Not sure if that includes the Boston Braves? Or is that a whole 'nother franchise?

Any way, if the stinking Braves hadn't had their 15 year run of excellence, they would have been first.

Well, people can really say that the Phils, on some level, (hell, maybe on most levels) are the worst franchise in baseball history and have some valid points.

Maybe we (not I, I'm too lazy, plus I have seen my share of those 10,000)can find some way to refute that claim.... like maybe avg number of losses per year or some such nonsense as that--------after all baseball is the king of stats, we gotta be able to find a couple in our favor.
