he had surgery on his shoulders, if he doesn't have that one arm toss going for him, I don't think he's that good. I said before, I think they should let the season play out and see what happens. If he plays great, it may cost a bit more, but it sure beats a huge contract and his shoulders don't hold up
The team is seeing something that the rest of us may not be aware of. There is a reason for this concern. Hopefully he plays out of his mind this season. I know they'll have to pay more but the team will benefit as well.
Or pick somebody up in free agency just as good. Fortunately we have a great owner in Jeff Lori who spends as much as he can to put a good team on the field. I will admit that I didn't like him when he first bought the team and cut several player's salaries so that they would have enough room to replace injured players and stay under the salary cap. I remember my Uncle telling me that "Mama finally opened the purse strings" when she realized that he was making money on the deal and he's been spending it ever since. I really don't know what he meant by Mama, It could have been his mother or his x wife, but the results were the same nonetheless. Getting rid of the Weasel was huge!! that bastard cost us several Super Bowls and I will never forgive him for that. The jerk is still making money off the Eagles because I hear his name mentioned quite a bit. It's too bad Jeff was loyal to him for so long.
Not that easy picking up somebody as good as Carter when Carter is healthy. I concur that the birds should be sure of his shoulders before giving him a huge contract. And maybe you just let him play it out and pay your other guys while going after the best DT in the draft.
