The fact that a federal police officer was killed in the line of duty in Washington DC this week and the flag at the White House, as of 7 PM, has not been lowered to half staff is disgusting.

All politics aside, the lack of serious preparation and and the GROSSLY inadequate numbers of security personnel from various sources/branches is both indefensible and totally inconsistent with preparations for previous large protest groups, as was anticipated by anyone with a pulse and IQ above room temperature. The DC Chief of Police and the Acting Secretary of Homeland Security have some 'splainin'. The head of the Capitol Police and the Sergeants at Arms of both the House and Senate have announced their respective resignations.
