There were 100 soccer fans in US before World Cup. US wins in knockout round and now there are 100,000. If US is in finals there will be 100,000,000. All will be soccer knowledgeable people who watched it their whole life.
 
Oh so true. I remember when Germany came from 2 goals down and over time to win the whole thing about 60 years ago. That was the first time we ever watched a soccer game And come to think of it it was over 60 years ago, more like 65. Americans first started to notice soccer then. Of course things are different then and everybody talked about how the players never came off the field like they did in American football. WWII had only been over for about 15 years and everything in sports was changing. Black players were coming into the NFL and Jim Brown was running wild for the Cleveland Browns And to watch the game you had to have your little brother stand in the corner with a rainbow shaped antenna watch the game. We've come a long way baby!
 
Didn'tthe United States best player get thrown out? It's like my eagle's karma is spreading to the soccer team!
