    • Who cares, he plagerized someone on an internet message board.

      • I stepped in in support of him at the time and took a few bullets for it, not because I knew what was what, or thought he was guilty or innocent, but largely for 2 reasons:

        1. Not a whole BFD in my opinion. I'm sure it happens in one form or fashion pretty often, and regardless of who's original opinion it was, I am still free to agree, disagree, or debate it.

        2. That's my natural reaciton when I see people piling on before all of the facts have been laid out, or the accused party has given his side of things. Some of our GOOD board members were acting like a pack of wolves, and I will always stand against that mob mentality.

I think most people wouldn't have cared if he hadn't denied it, tried to shrug off the poster who called him on it because of his post count, and then bolted. I'm not going to lose slep over it, but the facts were pretty clear, and he reacted immaturely.
Your confidence in your team is high, but rest assured, you will suffer humiliation when the sports team from my area defeats the sports team from your area.

Exactly. All the guy had to do was own up to it from the get-go, and except for some good natured ribbing, that would have been the end of it. But, to not own up to it, then disappear, only to magically reappear right before training camp, claiming a heart attack was the reason for his absence?? C'mon.

What kind of odds can I get on the validity of that story?

So, all he did wasn't plagerize someone on an internet message board. But, who cares, I mean, it's only a message board, who needs integrity.

I'm done. We've got a Super Bowl to win.

            • Good points Sub and EB...plagerism IMO is always a valid issue to stand against since it is an unethical practice that is done by choice...I did not know he tried to dodge and lie about what he did...anyway, hope he is truly ok and has learned his lesson...

              • What the fuck is wrong with this guy? I've read a lot of his posts and somehow he continues to amaze me.

Take this for what it's worth, but I believe it. My friends cousin is a VP at an AC casino. Trotter was in one night and the guy was talking to Trotter for awhile. Trotter told the guy that McNabb has no heart.

Trotter and McNabb do not get along. Trotter was on Sports Final last night. He said he still talks to T.O and he danced around questions about McNabb needing to win back the locker room.

I am not McNabb's biggest fan, but the way Trotter and Dawkins and other vets left McNabb hanging last year, was pretty weak. I beleive this team is still fractured, but winning seems to cure all.

                    • If it matters--- doesn't to me but others might like to comment----

                      ///////////////////////////////////

That includes Jeremiah Trotter. The veteran linebacker was matter-of-fact about his role in the Owens-Donovan McNabb imbroglio last season. In campaigning for Owens to stay on the team, Trotter said he was trying to reunite two players who had an opportunity to do special things on the football field.

Obviously, Trotter's efforts failed. Now, he said, it's over. Nothing lingers.

"I was just strictly trying to make things work," Trotter said. "Obviously, it's no secret that T.O. and I are good friends, but Donovan and I are friends also. That's why I was trying to make the situation work. I saw the potential that those two guys had as being teammates. I saw those guys two, three, four years down the line breaking every record in the books. If they're breaking records, then the team is obviously doing well.

"But that's water under the bridge now, so we have to move on. He's moved on; we've got to move on."

                      • Yeah, but who authored that piece? Was it some friend's cousin? That's the only source I listen to.

                        • Look, the dweeb has had a hard on for trying to paint #5 in a bad light for years..........any chance he gets and any twist he can manufacture he'll use.

(he'll also be the first in line come parade day telling the world that # 5 is the greatest and how he has been his biggest supporter)

So in this case it just really a matter of "consider the source" !!!!!!!!

But if his brother tells him --- and he tells us--- then, then there might be some validity to it!

                          • I hear you, MD. I just thought the post was funny. I ignore him 99.9% of the time.

What would he write if the guy told him Trotter loves McNabb?

"Take this for what's it worth, but I don't believe it."

                            • Gman has a reputation to uphold on Philaphans, and he'd kind of painted himself into a corner. He made this whole thing about how he's tired of people that are too positive about the Eagles, so now, in order to maintain his street cred w/ his flyersphan buddies, he has to come across as negative in the majority of his posts. So every little insecurity that he has about the Eagles becomes a thread. It's a weird dynamic, he LOVES the Eagles, but he's so afraid of looking like a chump if they don't win the Super Bowl, so he spews all of the negatives he can think of in order to appear that the bad things don't affect him all that much. But deep down every loss tears him apart, as you can see during game threads and on the day after. He doesn't like being let down by his teams, so he lashes out at them w/ pre-emptive strikes in order to fool himself into thinking that his expectations aren't that high. It's all pretty predictable.

                              Anyway, that's my phsyco-analysis.

                              • Brilliant analysis and pretty close to the truth IMO, Swing....

You forgot one small thing though: he is a loud mouth, hypocritical asshole...

P.S. He also believes he "saved" the Eagles board by running us "apologists" off and thinks he can turn on/off the success of the board based on how much controversy and "discussion", in whatever form it takes, he can generate...

Thus he has to keep the threads controversial and emotionally based without any evidence/fact so he will never be called on the carpet for not knowing football, sports or anything else...

He knows what the hot topics are: McNabb, TO, personal attacks especially on mods, our WR position, Reid's play calling etc. and he knows what insults to use to keep adding pages on threads i.e. gay bashing, calling people names, over the top statements on the Eagles (he knows Belmont will respond), threats, invites over to the Flyers board and many others...
