  • Limit Westbrook's touches this week

Heresy, I know. Brian Westbrook used to be a superstar.

But I don't think this offense is going to click trying to find enough touches for Westbrook, Weaver and McCoy this late in the game. They had a good thing going with Weaver and McCoy. Shady was catching screens and hitting the outside runs and Weaver was pounding the rock inside.

I think Westbrook kind of screwed that up last week. Not his fault, it probably had more to do with the offensive line shuffle. But they've got to stick with what had been working. It's too late to work someone in, IMO.

Westbrook needs to be a change-up option, a fresh legs guy in the third quarter or a third down receiver or split out wide, where he used to do so much damage as a wideout. Leave McCoy and Weaver alone to do their thing.

Don't kid yourself Jimmy. If a cow ever got the chance, he'd kill you and everyone you cared about!

Thing is, we don't need him as a wideout with Desean, Maclin and Avant out there. We used to need Westy to be areceiver....because our receivers STUNK! As a pure runner, I think McCoy is already better. It's hard to say this but, I''m not sure there is a place here for Westy any more.

I agree with ya, LT. We can stick Westy in for a spot here or there looking for a mismatch or a little confusion(Kinda like we do with Vick), but our gameplan needs to be built around McCoy/Weaver.

I think Westbrook was mainly in for his blocking. He did have some great blitz pickups on Sunday.
