Real nice signing by the FO.April as ST's Coach,Jauron as DB's Coach,do you think Andy realized both spots needed an upgrade?
As an aside,I see at least two guys being drafted at CB or Safety and Sheldon Brown getting moved to FS.The addition of Jauren will help alot.
I, along with many others I am sure, never thought much of him as a HC but he definitely has potential in helping the D. Wonder what Andy had to say to him to get him to step in as secondary instead of looking for a DC position somewhere. I really believe coaches, no matter the title, feel they have a say in things with Andy.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
Hope is not a strategy
RIP
There was a clip of Jauron on daily News live. Said he wanted to come here to learn this D and see what he might be able to add to it.Said he liked AR, respected him and the organization and was happy for the chance to come here.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.
Everyone has their own conspiracy theory, here's a different one. How about AR bringing Jauron in to learn the entire system and taking over for AR down the line with AR bumping up to a GM only role ?

Seriously doubt it. You already have Marty for that.
Whatcha Gonna Do Brother, When the Eagles run wild on you?
Some guys are just Assistant Coaches but they are VERY GOOD assistants. Joe Bugel, Jauron, Marc Tresman, Kevin Gilbride and Gunther Cunningham come to mind.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

Edit: and one that might be unpopular around here....Buddy Ryan.
I kinda have the feeling that if Ryan had hired a competent offensive coordinator and let him run that part of the team "hands off" the same way Reid let JJ run the defense, it may have been a different story. Though... I'm actually drawing a blank as to who was the offensive coordinator from 1986-89... I know we had a bad one Ryan's last year

In the media guide there is no listed OC,the assistant head coach/offense was Ted Plumb.
