    Giants Pick Up Big Shawn

    PFT reports Giants have picked Shawn Andrews....

    "The most talented free agent available at any position has found a surprising home.

    The Giants announced they signed former Eagles guard Shawn Andrews on Friday morning, while waiving offensive lineman Cliff Louis in the process.

    We're going to assume Andrews wasn't picked up to solve the Giants' quarterback shortage, and that he'll add another option at guard for New York's transitioning offensive line. Andrews has has serious physical and mental health questions, but it's not like there are many 27-year-old two time Pro Bowlers just sitting out there on the market.

    Andrews seems unlikely to start right away, but his presence will further shake up what has been an extremely stable offensive line the last few years.

    New York used William Beatty at tackle with David Diehl moving inside to guard on Monday night; Andrews would give them different options"

    Giants sign Shawn Andrews

    PFT is reporting the Gnats have signed Andrews. I've been generally sympathetic to his situation but if he gets his act together and plays well for NY, I will see him dead!!

      Its really an amazing development....will not be good for the Eagles if he gets back on track

            Yep, good luck to him, not too much luck though. I hope he's no better than "all right" or "pretty good." Glad it's not the Cowgirls either way.

              I know the Eagles had to let him go after all that they've been through. The marriage was not going to be repaired, but I still wish there had been a way to keep him around somehow...just to be sure he didn't wind up somewhere else and get his head screwed on straight. He scares me.
