  • Dez Bryant...a serious concern

As a GM, Jones is a gambler, a showman and a bit of a fool. He rolled the dice on Bryant when other teams passed up on his enormous talent because of his rep as having a ten cent head.

Unfortunately, Jones got this one very right. I don't get to see Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald all that much, but from what I've seen of Bryant (all the Dallas games so far) he may be as good or better than any of them. He's a rookie with some rough edges but he's down right scary.

Looking just at the physical package, this kid has it all: excellent speed, very good hands, tall with great timing and leaping ability, very good body control, the strength of bull, and a passion to go get the ball and then run with it .

While many of his mates have been playing like zombies on a Valium this year, this kid has played hard every play that I've watched when he's been in.

I'm not so concerned with this year because of the hole the Girls have dug for themselves, but I fear this guy will haunt us for years if he has someone to get him the ball.

Please tell me where I'm wrong about Bryant!

I try not to worry about a single player in a team game so much. I would drive my self crazy if I did.

Bryant looks good but anything can happen. He does seem to get nicked up a lot. I do agree he looks good but IMO Hicks looks better. All I know is Patterson better be the real deal or we are going to need to load up at the CB position. With the exception of the Redskins the rest of the NFC East looks lethal at the WR position.

I hate everything the Cowboys stand for. If you think they are America's team, then you support everything that is wrong with America. The excess, the greed, the lack of maturity, the lack of responsibility, the lack of control. - Luzinski's Gut

All that I can say Tino is that Dallas is loaded with talent. Their problem has always been coaching. JJ is part of that, but also is the reason that franchise underachieves. He is constantly torn between getting a good headcoach and getting one that he can control. He's really a paradox.

Bryant does look like "the goods", I'll give you that. I had the same feeling about Ware when he was signed by the Cowpies...........we are gonna have to deal with him for the next decade!

But, them is the breaks. JJ will manage to screw them up.

Demarcus Ware looked unstoppable for a few years to but yesterday he looked like a little boy out there. Takes more than just one guy.

That said, Bryant looks like a heckuva player.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

I flipped on TV this morning & Mike and Mike was on. They were talking about the flood of emails they have been receiving this morning. Seems lots of people think Garrett was bagging the offense to get Phillips fired. I really have don't care if he did, but I sure hope it stirs up more controversy in Dullass.

I hate that they got him with the Eagles pick. I know there's nothing the Eagles could do to limit the trade once they moved up for Graham but the fact that the girls used our pick to get a player that we'll have to deal with for the next 10+ years pisses me off. We need to pray that Michael Irvin takes Dez under his wing and helps him develop the finer points f his game - like how to use a fork as a weapon on a teammate, how to snort cocaine through both nostrils at once without over dosing, and how to avoid contracting VD while sticking your dick into every whore in the city.

You might not be wrong about Bryant but a good point was made earlier, one player doesn't make a squad. You cited Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson & Larry Fitzgerald earlier. Their combined record this year? 9-18.

Calvin Johnson is the only WR I covet.

BP - Maclin better start playing then. I have him on my fantasy team and he's very inconsistent.
